This seminar will include a discussion of the risks and exposures that individuals and entities faces such as hackers; theft; kidnap, ransom & extortion; espionage; and natural disasters. The discussion will also include the differences between corporate and home network security risks, how to identify individual data risks, plus what to do and how to respond if you are the victim of a breach.

Anna Winningham
Ms. Winningham comes to Risk Control Strategies from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), where she served as a Special Agent for 13 years. In her last assignment with the FBI, Ms. Winningham was the Supervisory Special Agent for the Crisis Response Squad of the Los Angeles Field Office. Her responsibilities included oversight and management of the Evidence Response Team, the Crisis Negotiations Team, the Special Weapons and Tactics Team, and the Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) response (which included all operational WMD components).
During her career with the FBI, Ms. Winningham developed an expertise in conducting complex investigations, crisis resolution, and tactical response to comprehensive operations worldwide. She has supervised multiple operational deployments of FBI resources, including overseas operations to Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kosovo, the Philippine Islands, Indonesia and Greece. She established and managed the FBI command post during the 9/11 terrorism investigation. She has managed critical incidents, planned and coordinated protection details for U.S. Government officials, supervised tactical operations in response to numerous kidnappings and extortion matters, and coordinated the FBI response to multiple special events.
As an executive with RCS, Ms. Winningham has conducted multiple investigations, threat assessments and provided expert testimony. She has developed an expertise in cyber investigation and has conducted multiple investigations, during which she has obtained and analyzed evidence and intelligence. Ms. Winningham has used this information to provide her clients with appropriate responses to situations including threats of violence, thefts, employee wrong-doings, cyber compromises, civil and criminal litigation.
Over the past 20 years she has testified in both state and federal courts (criminal and civil), and has served as an expert witness for counsel in Federal court. She positively bridges the gap between digital evidence collection and the client’s goals, by providing expert analysis.
Ms. Winningham has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas – El Paso, where she specialized in Soviet and East European Politics, and completed Russian studies programs at The Pushkin Institute, the US Army Russian Institute, and Middlebury College. She served in the U.S. Army as an Ordnance Officer and was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division for several years. Ms. Winningham brings over 17 years of investigative experience in crisis resolution and threat management. She is a valuable resource to corporate as well as private clients serviced by Risk Control Strategies.
